Interactive installation / computer game
2001 size: variable material: office table with equipment, video equipment, computer Elimination game is an interactive installation based on the principles of a computer game. The viewer enters a setting reminiscent of a typical bureaucratic office. A desk with lamp, computer and stationery is placed in the middle of the room, together with other objects of a personal nature. The game which the visitor plays is projected on the wall. The image is divided into two parts – a satellite photo of a city, where the viewer can target and bomb selected locations, and an image of an anonymous person lying on a hospital bed losing human features as the bombing proceeds and hits targets. Game is over when every possible target is stricken, and a skeleton remains of the lying person. |
