Lobbygroup is a concept of an independent interest group claiming no cultural, artistic or personal attitudes. Its primary and only aim is to take advantage of financial, material, or social profits through reacting to specific situations. Lobbygroup is applying the most effective strategies for acquiring profit, and it aims to present its intentions to the art world freely. Its project Prague Biennale reacts to an alleged conflict between organizers of two biennales in Prague in 2005 (this was a much publicized conflict between the two head organizers of two biennales which took place in Prague at the same time in 2005- Giancarlo Politi of Flashart and Milan Kní_ák, director of National Gallery in Prague). Lobbygroup decided to make use of the possibility to connect both biennales by providing a platform for exchanging artwork from both events. It provided an exhibition space of 200 x 200 cm in the Karlin Hall for the organizer of the other biennale, Milan Kní_ák, and a space of similar measurement in Kní_ák’s biennial to Giancarlo Politi. Kní_ák prepared an artwork named “I am angel and you are bastards”. Lobbygroup documented the artwork, provided transport, installation and took material obligation for it. Despite the group’s efforts, due to high insurance price of the artwork as well as non-flexible approach of the insurance company, organizers of Prague Biennale II were not able to take care of these concerns. Lobbygroup was forced to remove the work from the exhibition and return it to the author. Politi attempted to use his space at the National Gallery for exhibiting the above mentioned artwork. Prof. Kní_ák as an author of this piece did not agree. Space at the National Gallery was cancelled. This was the end of the project.
